What's new

New features, improvements and fixes, newest first. We only add a day when something changed.

  • NewIngredients to avoid: pick anything your horse should skip, like soy, alfalfa or molasses, and we'll flag feeds and supplements that list it and leave them out of suggestions.
  • NewAn About the beta page: what works today, what we're working on, and how to send feedback.
  • FixedYour browser's Back button now takes you to the page you were on. Plus small fixes: saved plans load more reliably, long horse names fit on phones, and custom feed numbers are checked as you enter them.

  • NewFeeding amounts from the bag: "How much do I feed?" uses each maker's own feeding chart for 151 feeds, with a link to the source.
  • NewSmarter feed suggestions based on your horse's main concern, such as lower sugar + starch, more calories or easier to chew. Feeds that aren't sold in your state are left out.
  • NewYour take-to-my-vet sheet now lists other feeds to ask about, with the reasons each one came up.
  • New126 more feeds and 79 more supplements, plus explanations for almost every ingredient on a label.
  • NewAdd your hay test, soak time and grass type for a more accurate whole-diet sugar + starch number.
  • NewHave an idea? Send a feature request from the contact form or the "Request a feature" link at the bottom of every page.
  • ImprovedA clearer, gentler diet check that shows whether hay, grass or feed is the main driver.
  • FixedPhone layout fixes, including the header overlap on iPhone.
